BlogTour 2011 – The Agenda

September 19, 2011 — 4 Comments

This week I am leaving for London – a trip that I can credit to having this blog (and the good graces of Veronika Miller at Modenus). I thought it would be interesting to pull the curtain back a bit and show you what happens on a trip like this one. Since this is my personal blog, in order to attend, I have to take vacation time from work I get invited on more of these sorts of trips than I can attend but anytime it involves a trip as huge as traveling to London with such obvious benefit to my knowledge base, I’m going to try and make it happen.

I leave for the airport at the end of the business day this coming Wednesday, arriving in London 10:45am local time where there will be a person waiting for me at the airport holding a sing that reads “BlogTour”.  I am now officially “working” at this point – learning new things and acquiring new skills that will benefit my clients and my projects. Below is a rough agenda that I will be following for the next 4 days.

even better stuff from Life of an Architect

  • Truly, Bob, I am so excited for you. It will be such a fun trip. And you have mastered the art of absorbing everything, staying positive and not sleeping for days on end. Cheers!

    • true on all accounts!

just wondering how many photo’s I take will be reserved for my private collection? Most architects have a camera on them at all times when traveling and since I am the only architect on this trip, I’ll get all sorts of pictures of interest…

  • Brenda Lynn

I see how it is… couldn’t take off to come to Louisville, but mention London and you are there… LOL I can’t say that I blame you there! Have a great trip, I look forward to living vicariously through you and my other friends who will be with you. Safe trip and god speed!

    • Thanks Brenda,

As much as I would love to get to Louisville, this trip to London is packing in so much that it’s easier to justify the time away from the office. In the end, I do it to benefit my clients – the more I know, the better I can advise.

I think I’ll eventually get to Louisville – how could I not?
