I have asked my friend Eric Schmid to provide us with an update on what’s happening with the $20K House Rural Studio. They have spent more time discussing a house that will be built for so little money it is staggering -they are also interesting, entertaining and almost always enlightening.

This is the introduction of rural Vermont architect Bob Swinburne, and a project he deisnged for himself called ‘The FernHouse’. A simple open air but enclosed structure made for sleeping outdoors. It is simply beautiful.
