Over 2000 people attended the opening ceremonies of the new Sundial Bridge in Redding California on Sunday July 4th, 2004. Santiago Calatrava designed the bridge and attended the ceremony. Calatrava talked about bridges creating change in the communities they are built. The bridge cost $23 million and the McConnell Foundation paid $12.8 million, the City of Redding paid $2.5 million and the state paid $8 million from a Prop 40 grant. The bridge officially opens to the public at 9:30am. The bridge connects Turtle Bay Exploration Park to the Sacramento River Trail system.(AP Photo by Michael Burke)

My “Serious” Disclaimer

The complimentary advice provided on ‘Life of an Architect’ is based on an abbreviated examination of the minimal facts given, not the typical extensive (and sometimes exhaustive) analysis I conduct when working with my clients. Therefore, anything you read on this site is not a substitute for actually working with me. Following my casual advice is at your own peril … if you want my undivided attention, I would recommend hiring me. Cheers.
