Heard Around the Architectural Studio #21

February 19, 2016 by Bob Borson 16 Comments

Sometimes people we respect say things that are ridiculous and it’s almost impossible to not make fun of them for saying something silly. I had a moment like this yesterday while talking with a contractor I respect and frequently call to answer technical questions that come up. We were on the phone and I was trying to navigate him through the project to where we wanted to install a wall outlet.

Bob: Are you standing in the Dining Room?

Contractor: Yes.

Bob: Okay. Walk through the sliding doors and move out on to the covered patio.

Contractor: Okay. I’m there.

Bob: Rotate 180 degrees.

Contractor: Rotate 180 degrees to the right or to the left?

Bob: ….

There are times when I am extremely grateful that the contractors I work with don’t have blogs.
