Finally, a worthwhile fortune cookie

May 16, 2014 by Bob Borson14 Comments

I don’t normally go in for what I find in fortune cookies – let’s be honest, they rarely predict anything. I would much rather have a fortune cookie say something like “don’t go outside today” or “don’t ride a bus today” but that sounds kinda dark now that I’ve written it. Maybe getting one that reads “you will find some cash in an unexpected location today” would be good enough…

That having been said, I did rather like the message that was in my latest fortune cookie:

Bob Borson's Fortune Cookie

There are many things people can choose to pursue in life – fame, wealth, friends, health … but professionally, I wonder is this one might be one of the more noble pursuits?

Your example will inspire others

I can’t help but think that if you are doing something that inspires others, the other items will more than likely fall into place, or at least, be slotted in a more meaningful order. Leading by example is good way to live and by adding the word “inspire” to the mix seems to infer that you actions are worthy of paying attention. Yes, this was a pretty good fortune cookie … and as a bonus, I now know which numbers will win the lottery.

Here’s to being a positive example,
