You don’t have to draw well to be an architect!! Sure it doesn’t hurt but let’s pull the curtain back and be honest here for a minute. Architects communicate through drawing – we aren’t making art.

I have asked my friend Eric Schmid to provide us with an update on what’s happening with the $20K House Rural Studio. They have spent more time discussing a house that will be built for so little money it is staggering -they are also interesting, entertaining and almost always enlightening.

Harmony – it’s a nice word.
It’s nice to say because it has a hard consonant sound and the beginning and a soft vowel sound at the end. That resonates with me because the word sounds like what it means – a pleasing arrangement of parts.
